Do you want to teach someone how a rigid printed circuit board is built-up? Yes you can!
The IPC-6012 (“Qualification and Performance Specification for Rigid Printed Boards”) is an IPC standard used in the manufacturing process of rigid printed circuit boards (PCBs). IPC is an American institute that ensures that all knowledge is distributed worldwide by certified IPC trainers through their IPC standards, IPC training programs and IPC training materials. The IPC-6012 is also called “the manufacturing standard of IPC” by which all rigid printed circuit boards are produced. Virtually all printed circuit board manufacturers around the world work according to this standard. When you need further knowledge in the manufacturing process of rigid printed circuit boards, types of laminate material, different surface finishes, the production process of single-sided, double-sided and multilayer printed circuit boards and the maximum damage of pads/lands, circuit tracks/conductors, through-holes on a printed circuit board, this standard is the right one for you.
The IPC-6012 CIT training is a training that trains a student/participant as a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT). This means that the student will receive a complete training kit from IPC afterwards by which he/she can continue training. This training is suitable for people who have a managerial position or a lot of experience and/or want to transfer their knowledge to their staff/colleagues. If the participant has obtained his CIT certificate, then he/she must conduct at least 1 IPC training per year. The CIT certification training takes about 4 days, at the end of the training the participant writes a final exam (100 questions multiple choice). If the participant has passed this exam with a minimum score of 80%, he/she will receive an IPC-6012 CIT certificate with all accompanying training materials for further training. With this IPC certificate you can work as a CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) all over the world. Just like a driver’s license, this IPC certificate is internationally recognized. The certificate is valid for 2 years, you can extend the certificate validation by participating an IPC recertification training. The CIT recertification training can take place in a shorter period of time (at least 1 day). The IPC-A-6012 CIT is also the designated person to discuss and solve customer problems.
